A door-to-door survey will be carried out for Sarvajan Pension Yojana, to ensure that the maximum number of eligible beneficiaries benefit from the scheme. In a virtual meeting held on Thursday, Ranchi (DC) Deputy Commissioner Chhavi Ranjan ordered to work under a special campaign in Ranchi district for this.
Ranjan said, “The government appreciated Ranchi District’s excellent performance in the Government at Your Doorstep program and Ranchi District ranked first in the entire state.”
Ranjan said no eligible beneficiary should be excluded from Sarvajan Pension Yojana. “Not even a single eligible elderly, disabled and destitute woman should be deprived of the benefits of the scheme. By marking eligible beneficiaries according to the voters list, they should benefit from the scheme. Said BLO and Sevika-Sahayak will do door to door investigation work. Instructions were given to alternate supervisors for urban surveys. There will be a female supervisor at 5-6 stalls,” he added.
During the meeting, the DC ordered to provide a daily report of the investigation conducted in various blocks. He said the block-level investigation report should be sent to the district social welfare officer and the deputy director of social security, so that the process can be completed at the earliest to grant pension to eligible beneficiaries. .
Ranjan spoke of strict action in case of negligence in the process of transfer of benefits from Sarvajan Pension Yojana to beneficiaries. He said if there was a complaint from a CDPO, BSW, female supervisor, then report it to the BDO. Action will be taken against them immediately.
Expressing its dissatisfaction with the lack of expected progress of the project, the DC ordered to speed up the works and, at the same time, all BDO-COs were asked to set up camps in their respective areas every Tuesday and Friday. The DC has also directed to make the forms available on VHSND in all Anganwadi Centers so that eligible beneficiaries coming to Anganwadi Centers can avail the benefits of the scheme during this period.
“The ongoing special campaign for Sarvajan Pension Yojana will be monitored by district level officials. DC ordered to appoint senior officers for every 4-5 blocks. Those who will visit the relevant block on the camp day,” Ranjan said.
