Success of Sopra Steria’s new We Share 2022 employee shareholding plan

PARIS, May 09, 2022–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Regulatory news:

Sopra Steria Group (SOP, Euronext Paris [Compartment A] – ISIN: FR0000050809) (Paris:SOP) today announces the success of its new We Share 2022 employee share ownership plan, to which more than one in three eligible Group employees have subscribed, and nearly one in two in France.

In February, Sopra Steria announced the launch of its new We Share 2022 employee shareholding plan in 14 countries, with the aim of involving employees in the development and performance of the Group on a long-term basis.

The plan included 200,000 shares – 100,000 shares purchased by employees and 100,000 free shares allocated as part of Sopra Steria’s contribution – and was oversubscribed by more than 200%. It was carried out exclusively by contribution of existing shares.

During the presentation of the results of this plan, Pierre Pasquier, Chairman of Sopra Steria, praised the commitment of employees to the company’s strategy: “By making We Share a success, our employees have shown their desire to belong to an independent Group, combining our entrepreneurial culture with our collective strength.

At the end of this plan, the investments managed on behalf of employees represented approximately 7% of the capital and 8% of the voting rights, strengthening Sopra Steria’s position among the leading French listed companies in terms of employee share ownership. After adding the shares held directly in registered form by the Group’s employees and former employees, these proportions reach nearly 10% of the capital and 13% of the voting rights, thus making employees the Group’s second largest shareholder.

The shares subscribed under the We Share 2022 plan were delivered on May 5, 2022.

The characteristics of this plan were detailed in a press release dated February 24, 2022.
